Hooray for Halloween or Amazing Autumn-that is the theme for the September blog hop! I am a dentist's daughter and so Halloween was not big in our house growing up. Amazing Autumn is the focus for my blog project this month.
Four seasons-and we definitely experience all the seasons in Saskatoon! I love watching the leaves change colour-so pretty!
I decided to do something a little different for Thanksgiving this year-and in Canada Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. Usually I have my family each write out what they are thankful for and then place them in a scrapbook-fun to look back on! This year I am going to place a card at each place setting-and I will write something to the recipient-and they will have a little keepsake from me!
And won't the little treat bags from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit look great on my Thanksgiving table too!
Here is a close up of the 3 x 3 cards personalized thanks to the Alphabet Rotary stamp.
I stamped the Vintage Leaves on Watercolour paper with Versamark ink and then embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder.
Then some quick and easy colouring with the Aqua Painter and Tangelo Twist.
I do not have an artistic bone in me-thankfully stamps take care of that! So the areas that the Stampin' Up! concept artists thought should be darker-well I used Cajun Craze in those spots.
And there are matching framelits for the leaves-yay!
Lots of texture thanks to the Corrugated Paper and Linen Thread.
